Wobbly Teeth Watch: When Do Kids Start Losing Teeth?

That first loose tooth! It's a milestone almost as big as walking. But when do kids typically start losing teeth? The answer usually falls around age 6.

Typically, the bottom front teeth are the first to go, followed by their counterparts on the top. This process continues throughout the elementary school years, with most kids losing all their baby teeth by age 12 or 13.

Don't panic if your child is a bit earlier or later than the average. Tooth loss timing can vary due to genetics and other individual factors. However, if your child hasn't lost any teeth by age 7 or has teeth coming in prematurely, it's worth a chat with your dentist.

Losing teeth is a natural (and exciting!) part of growing up. So get ready for the Tooth Fairy and all the fun that comes with this milestone!
