28 Weeks Pregnant: The Home Stretch is Calling (and Your Baby is Listening!)

Congratulations! You've officially hit 28 weeks pregnant, marking the beginning of your third trimester! This is a HUGE milestone. Your baby is developing rapidly and is now considered viable – meaning they have a good chance of survival if born prematurely.

What can you expect this week? Baby is around the size of a large eggplant, weighing approximately 2.5 pounds and continuing to pack on the pounds! You might feel more pronounced movements as their kicks and jabs get stronger. Listen closely; your baby can now hear you and recognize your voice, so keep chatting and singing!

For you, expect to feel increasingly tired and possibly experience new aches and pains. Braxton Hicks contractions (practice contractions) may become more frequent. Remember to stay hydrated, rest when you can, and discuss any concerns with your doctor. Prepare for those last few weeks, you're doing great!
