24 Weeks Pregnant: Baby's Kicking and You're Glowing! (Almost There!)

Congratulations, mama! You've hit the 24-week mark – you're officially over halfway there! Baby is now about the size of a cantaloupe, and those little kicks are becoming more and more pronounced (hello, nightly dance parties!).

What can you expect this week? You might be experiencing more noticeable Braxton Hicks contractions – those practice contractions are your body's way of preparing for the big day. Don't worry, they're usually painless and irregular. You might also notice increased swelling in your ankles and feet, so put those feet up whenever you can!

Baby is busy developing, too! Their lungs are getting stronger, and they're starting to produce surfactant, a substance that will help them breathe outside the womb. They can also now hear your voice and even react to loud noises. Talk to your little one – they're listening!

This week is a great time to start thinking about childbirth classes and packing your hospital bag. You're in the home stretch, so get ready to meet your little miracle!
